Janice Collins

author of

Sydney, The Bean and the Missing Gloves

About the book

As a Labrador Retriever, Sydney knows she should be brave. She wants to live up to her breed’s expectations, but she has a secret: she’s afraid of being home alone. And sometimes, when she’s home alone, Sydney misbehaves.

One day, Bean gets adopted into the family. At first, Sydney’s not so sure she wants to share her humans and her home with her new little Labrador sister. But when one of their human’s family heirlooms goes missing and Sydney is blamed, the dogs must band together to solve the mystery.

Along the way, they meet neighborhood friends who help Sydney realize that bravery is not a trait one is born with, but a trait that can be grown.
